Here you will find information on the Bailey Blade XTR and the story of how two ordinary guys have set forth the commitment to bring the Bailey Blade XTR into reality. In times like these it's no easy task and part of what makes the Blade XTR so special is the sheer determination of the BXR Team as we create a unique high performance sports car that captures the look and feel of classic styling while paying special attention to the driver and the experience.
The Blade XTR is a small lightweight 101" wheelbase sports car with a wide body stance. Its designed to cradle large American Displacement engines such as the Ford 5.4L supercharged V8. The engine is mounted in the front and the front wheels and suspension have been designed forward to achieve mid engine performance with a traditional front engine design.
The 550 Horse power engine is attached to a 6 Speed Manual short shift transmission which delivers it power to an advanced geometry independent rear suspension with dynamic toe and camber adjustments.
Our goal is to keep the Blade XTR simple and drivable for people that like to drive their cars instead of their cars driving them. The driver's experience is what we like to focus on, the Blade XTR will have plenty of power for play time and the suspension will make sure you keep it on the road. However we have also put our attention on those people that are taller and cannot enjoy smaller exotic performance cars. We have made sure that people with taller upper bodies and heights of 6'4" to 6'6" will be able to sit comfortably without their knees crunched to the dash and their heads smashing the top on every bump in the road.
Although the Blade XTR is based on performance, design and the drivers experience. We will have on board computers for diagnostics of engine performance and quick tuning capabilities. There is full ABS but NO Traction Control, we figure why put something in when the first thing you do is turn it off... right?
